Softball. From release to plate.
Every pitch.
A clearer
picture.
Follow the flight with your iPhone. Bring high-speed video, ball movement and physics into the same pitching session.

Make the flight visible
A pitching session,
with more context.
Set the camera once. Capture the pitch. Review what the camera saw, alongside the flight model.
- 01Camera follows the ball
High-speed frames and measured camera placement support a physics-based flight fit.
- 02Optional radar adds reported speed
Radar is off by default. Enable it in Advanced settings to add a compatible Bluetooth radar’s speed reading.
- 03Spin keeps its evidence
Surface tracking and movement-based inference are presented as separate methods.

From the field to the screen
Built for a
measured setup.
The geometry matters. A fixed phone, a clear view and a few real measurements give the analysis its starting point.
Choose your angle.
Mount the iPhone at release height, behind the pitcher or catcher, with enough sideways offset to see the ball.
Measure the field.
Enter the camera placement and follow the calibration points before recording.
Keep the evidence.
Review release and flight frames. Save footage and available analysis in the local pitch library.
Two ways to examine spin
What moves.
What rotates.
Movement can inform a spin estimate. Visible surface features can provide rotation evidence. Flight43 keeps that distinction visible.
Follow the ball’s features.
Track visible seams or optional asymmetric marks across frames to estimate surface rotation when the images support it.
Use the shape of the flight.
A gravity, drag and Magnus model estimates transverse spin from fitted movement. It does not establish total spin or gyrospin.
These methods are under development and have not yet been field validated. Lighting, blur, visible detail and calibration affect whether a result can be produced.
Planned launch offer
Your first 50 pitches.
On us.
Start with 50 successfully analyzed pitches free. Continue analyzing with an App Store subscription after that.
Flight43 is in development. This is the planned launch offer; subscription billing and the free-pitch allowance are being added separately. Planned U.S. pricing is $5/month or $50/year. Local plans and prices will be shown before purchase. The 50-pitch allowance is a one-time starting allowance, not a monthly reset.
