Overview
Effective October 17, 2026. This policy covers the Flight43 iPhone app and our websites at flight43.app and flight43.com. Flight43 is an independent softball training app. Contact hello@pitchcall.app for privacy questions.
The current native app processes pitch video and analysis on your iPhone. It does not require a Flight43 account, include advertising or analytics SDKs, or send pitch recordings to an app-operated cloud service. Website hosting and email are separate, as explained below.
Camera, video and people in frame
With your camera permission, the app records video for ball-flight and surface-feature analysis. It uses camera geometry, timestamps, exposure and ISO values and available camera calibration information. Recordings may include people and surroundings visible in the frame. The app does not record microphone audio, identify faces or perform facial recognition.
Video processing uses on-device Apple camera and vision frameworks. Pitch files can include the recording, selected release/end frames, ball observations, surface-tracking evidence, radar data and available physical-model results. These files stay in the app’s local storage unless you choose to share them or your device backs them up.
Bluetooth radar and preferences
Radar is optional and off by default. After you enable it in Advanced settings, start listening and allow Bluetooth access, Flight43 can receive speed notifications from supported radar devices. It can retain a radar identifier, connection preferences, notification times, received payloads and pitch-associated readings. Radar diagnostic messages may also appear in local device logs. The app does not upload these diagnostics to an app-operated service.
Measured field geometry, camera setup and model settings are stored locally. The app does not request GPS location, contacts, advertising identifiers, microphone access or photo-library access for its current capture workflow.
Retention, deletion and sharing
Local captures and their analysis remain on the iPhone until you delete them, remove the app or otherwise remove its data. Deleting a pitch from Library removes its local recording and associated files. Setup preferences and remembered radar settings are separate and may remain until reset or app-data removal.
You may export files through the system share sheet or access app documents using Apple’s file-sharing features. You choose the recipient or destination; that provider’s terms and privacy practices apply. We cannot delete copies you have already exported.
iOS, iCloud or computer backups may include app data according to your device and backup settings. Deleting a local pitch does not necessarily delete an older backup. Review Apple’s backup controls for those copies.
Planned subscriptions
The first 50 successfully analyzed pitches are planned to be free, followed by an App Store subscription. Billing and free-allowance enforcement are not implemented in the current development build.
When billing is added, Apple will process purchases under your Apple account. Flight43 will need purchase entitlement and allowance information to provide access; it will not receive your full payment card details. We will update this policy and the App Store privacy answers to reflect the actual billing implementation before release. No future purchase-data behavior is represented as already active.
Website and hosting
The website is prepared for Google Firebase Hosting. When hosted there, Google processes technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the service. Firebase states that Hosting retains IP addresses for a few months for abuse detection and usage analysis. See Firebase’s privacy information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
This website does not include advertising trackers, Google Analytics, marketing pixels, third-party fonts, embedded social widgets or a mailing-list tracking service. It does not set application cookies or use browser storage for visitor profiles. Ordinary browser caches and the hosting provider’s technical processing still apply.
Following an external link opens a service with its own privacy practices. Email links open your email application; they do not automatically subscribe you to a list.
Email and voluntary support files
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to provide. We use them to reply, investigate the issue and maintain relevant support records. We do not need a full session recording to answer every support request; share only the material needed and avoid including unnecessary information about other people.
Support correspondence is retained while needed to handle the request and maintain relevant service or legal records. You can ask us to delete correspondence we control, subject to applicable obligations. Email providers process messages under their own terms. Messages and attachments are not used to train a Flight43 model without a separate request and your permission.
Players, children and permissions
Flight43 is intended for coaches, adult players and parents or guardians supervising training. It is not offered as a children’s social network and does not create player profiles. Obtain appropriate permission before recording or sharing footage of other people, including minors.
If you believe a child sent us personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and remove information we control where required.
Your choices and privacy rights
- Change Camera and Bluetooth permissions in iPhone Settings.
- Delete individual local recordings and their associated analysis from Library.
- Control backups and exported copies in the services where you stored them.
- Contact us about support correspondence or other information we actually hold.
- Use Apple’s subscription settings to manage any future App Store subscription.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent or complain to your local privacy authority. Email hello@pitchcall.app to make a request. We may need reasonable information to verify the request. We cannot retrieve local-only pitch files from your iPhone or delete a recipient’s exported copy.
Where applicable, voluntary support communications are processed to respond to you and operate the service; hosting technical information supports delivery, security and abuse prevention. Permission-based capture is controlled on your device. You can stop capture or revoke that permission at any time.
Changes and contact
We will update the effective date when this policy changes and provide additional notice where required. Material additions such as accounts, uploads, analytics or billing require a policy and App Store disclosure review before release.
